QUESTION: I would like to find out the date %26 type of clock this is. It has written on the face "Manufatured by the E. Ingraham Co. Bristol, Ct. USA". It has been handed down in our family many years. Thanks for your help.

QUESTION: I read that you might be able to get an exact date by taking the face off the clock and looking behind it. Would this be a difficult process?

year and month maybe on the front leg of the mechanism

looks like a round nut holding the minute hand on and the hour hand just pulls off and then open the glass door and the rim around the dial might have three wood screws holding it on

if removed you may be able to see the front legs - maybe not --if not you are only four wood screws from the back holding the movement in away from having the whole movement in your hand.
