Question
We have an old mantel chhiming clock that stopped running when my wife moved it.  It is fully wound and when the pedalum is started it runs for a few minutes then stops.  It was working fine before she moved it.  What can I do to get it stated again?

Answer
It probably got knocked "out of beat".
Listen to the ticking and see if the sound is evenly spaced in time. If it is uneven it needs to be adjusted. There are different ways of making the adjustment depending on what movement is in the clock.
Let me know if it sounds out of beat and tell me what you can about the movement and I'll help you put it in beat.
