Question

Seth Thomas Lynton II
have a Seth Thomas Lynton II mantel Clock with chime Manufactured in January 1981.  The movement is A208-013 made in Germany (picture attached).  I no longer have the manual and the clock is losing about 10 minutes per day.  Can you advise how to adjust? I can see a - + at the top of the movement on either side of the wheel but not sure of the proper way to adjust....I'm used to pendulum movement adjustment with my antiques.  Thanks

Answer
The timekeeping adjustment is on top of the disc that rotates back and forth in the balance. There is a three pronged spring pressing down onto the top of that disc. You hold the disc still and move the fingers toward the + to make it faster or toward the - to slow it down.
