Question
I found this clock in a field. I installed a new D cell and followed instructions on the back of the case to set chime which works fine.
Pendulum seems to want to stop moving after 8-10 ticks and also swings on the oblique angle to the case.
I believe I have the clock level.
In case the movement is defective , is there a place to buy replacement mechanisms ?

Answer
Check to see if the movement is square to the case. Look inside the back. If the movement is not level when the case is you should be able to turn it so that it will be.
If this does not correct your problem there is a newer model of movement that might fit in your clock case. These are called Bim Bam movements. They now feature a quartz clock movement so the time keeping is not dependent on the pendulum swing. They keep time even if the pendulum is not swinging.
They are slightly larger than the original movements but the chime block is now integrated into the movement frame.
You can see this movement at the following link:

You will also need to get a new set of hands with the new movement because the holes in your hands are too small to fit the new bim bam movement. Usually these clocks have 4-1/2" black spade hands. You can see the hands that will fit the new movement here:
