Question
I have a Landmark Quartz chime D cell battery grandfather's clock,
Model #19448142. The small hand does not work properly, it hangs loose. I wanted to change the time on it, & large hand ok, but small one is broken. Do I need a part or can I open it to tightened small hand in the back? Its not an antique but has semimental value.

Answer
The small (hour) hand just presses on.
Point it to the correct position on the face (5 for 5:00, etc...)and press it onto the shaft. The shaft is tapered, the harder you press it the tighter it will be.
Let me know if this does not solve your problem.
