Question
I have a grandfather clock that was made by Winterhalder and Hofmeier. It is got the HWN on the small globe. There are two other larger globes on the moon face. We know that it was made by
the above mention names. Our problem is we need a new pendulum.
We think it is 114cm. 6" bob. It got lost in a move and we are having problems finding a pendulum. We can't seem to find the serial no. if any on the clock any where. It is 8ft with a cowl top. The clock is made of mahogany, with bevel glass on door and sides. If you can please help us out in finding a replacement. Thank You in advance. Margie Rothlisberger

Answer

need a photo of the back of the clock movement to see how the top of the pendulum hooks on and how the "leader" or 6-8" arm hanging down the back of the mechanism is designed

might have to custom make one

perhaps one from a Herschede would fit but need to look at yours with a photo to see.I hope you can collect $400 to $500 or more from your movers!
