Question
I have a Barwick, pinched cabinet, Grandfather clock that I purchased in 1973ish.  I would appreciate any advice on how it should be moved.  My daughter is taking it and will need to transport it approximately 600 miles.  Thank You!

Answer
remove 3 weights ---remove the pendulum where it hooks on just under the lower back of the movement.

twisty tie the 6 chains together up as high as you can group them together

snap two rubber bands around the bottom of all the black chime rods to clump them together

carry it and transport it laying on it's back if possible.
