Clocks, Watches/Trend Floor Clock

Question
I just purchased a Trend floor clock. Not sure of it's age or where to find information about it. I need to know how to wind the clock.  There are no holes for a crank.  Also, it keeps good time but when the hours chime, it has a harsh tone.  Any way to fix that? Thanks,  Elaine

Answer
must have chains and weights then? ust pull the end of the chain down that does not have the weight on it(as needed - at least weekly) heaviest weight goes on the right side!

tone is the hammer head hitting the chime rods or the rods hitting against each other

the hammer heads need to be about 1/8" away from the rod they are supposed to hit and the rods need to be not touching and parallel to each other as they hang.

Trend was a brand of the Sligh Furniture company in MI-- they are not in business making clock cases any more --the movement was made in Germany probably by the Hermle co. (still in business)
and the back of the movement will have stamped info to help date it if you want.(probably about late 1970's)
