Question
What is the difference between an Urgos Grandfather Clock 32692 (new stock number is 32316) and a 32691 movement?  My 32692 movement has somehow locked whereas I cannot adjust the minute hand without a grinding sound.  However if I start it up it keeps time fine and both hands move properly.  I just cannot adjust the minute hand by itself.  There is a 32691 movement for sale locally.  Can I use that one as a direct replacement?  Thanks, Tom

Answer
If it is a cable wind movement check the distance between the hand shaft and the middle winding arbor. I think they changed that distance at one point and the new movements will not line up with the old clock faces.
Other than that I'm not sure. You could call Black Forest Imports at 1(714)637-4307. I'm sure they would be happy to help you match up the movements.
