Question
I have a 1989 close pocket watch and cannot identify the case. C.W.C.Co. (Chicago Watch Com?) a serial number 257271 and Regent under that. Is this brass or gold plated? Also, where can you get replacement glass for the face.

Watches are not my specialty but I'll do my best. Are you sure you don't mean 1898, you wrote that your watch is a 1989. That would make it a modern watch and the answers would be very different.
If it's actually a 19th century watch the case would be gold rather than brass. The glass is called a watch crystal. There are several companies who sell the crystals online but you may want to have a jeweler/watch repair person size and install it for you.
