I Have a Seiko wall clock (12" x 12") That has quit working.  Ref QQX217B  Cat. 12104.
It's a lovely Octagonal Walnut frame over a gold dial. It can be set to chime either Westminster or Whittington.  We love the clock but after our last move it will no longer work.  The second hand tries to move but it will just "jog".  The clock takes two C cells that we have replaced and then reset the clock but it still won't work. I'm assuming that the movement needs to be replaced. Can the quartz movement be replaced and if so, where can I purchase one?

Hi Frank,
Seiko limits the sale of clock parts to authorized dealers and repair persons. As a clock parts dealer I have tried to purchase directly from Seiko but have been referred to companies already in their system.
You might be able to get an authorized Seiko watch dealer to order the part for you. You can search your local phone book or do an Internet search. Seiko uses a number they call Caliber. It is usually located inside one of the battery compartments of the clock movement.
That shop will call a company named Coserve and get a price and availability.
