Clocks, Watches/chimes do not

Question
We purchased a Barwick clock by Howard Miller

The clock excelent time but the chimes arn't working.  The instructions suggested waiting 24 bhourss but nothing.  My husband read the accompaning paperwork and followed the instructions to the letter but to no avail.  Any suggestions?

I would have to diagnose the problem in person. The best I can do from here is give you a few tips.
Be sure the heaviest weight is on the right side as you face the clock.
Make sure nothing is keeping the hammers from moving freely.
Lubricate the clock movement, there are a lot of posts on this website detailing how to do this.
