Clocks, Watches/slow hour chimes

Question
Hi Kenneth. I have an 8 day Viennese Regulator wall clock which strikes i/2 hour and hour. Since having it professonally cleaned some weeks back the hour chimes have about 3-4 seconds between each. Any ides please? I'm pretty good mechanically so I could do adjustments if it were possible. Many thanks, Frank (England)

Answer
if the weights are not the same put the heaviest one on the strike train. make sure the cables are not binding somewhere.

if the same - is the clock stiking louder than before?
often the repair people adjust the hammer to lift higher and it takes longer to raise it up higher. Or if it got rebuilt with bushings added for repair, could have made them too tight on the pivots or screwed things up in many other ways. (forgot to oil it??)

take it back under warrantee?
