Would it be worth the shipping cost to ship this clock from Florida to So. California? It was my mother's clock and was purchased in 1978.

I can't answer this question for you.  It is solely dependent upon what sentimental value you or members of your household place upon the clock.  It has been generally been my experience that such items are considered 'family' and if sacrifices are necessary to preserve the family, so be it.  Again this is a very personal decision.  Regards WJP
