Clocks, Watches/england cooko clock will not chime on half hour

Question
QUESTION: We have an  New England Steeple Wall Clock and it will not chime on the half hour only on the hour. and also the left weight doesn't fall. Please advise

ANSWER: Some clocks are made to only strike the hour and not the 1/2 hour. I would have to know what movement is in there to tell you what yours is supposed to do.
Can you look at the back of the movement and tell me what numbers are stamped on it?
Is it a two weight or three weight clock?
Thanks,
Michael

QUESTION: it has two weights and the number  on bac is 334540

Answer
Dottie, if that number is stamped on the movement, I don't know who made it or what the set up is. If that number is on the clock case, I still need the number on the movement.
One weight is to keep the pendulum swinging and the other weight is for the strike. If the pendulum is swinging and the clock is striking both weights will travel down. If the clock is only striking one on each hour it will take a long time for that weight to go down but it will.
It seems like the adjustment that needs to be done is on the front of the movement. This is not easy to get to as the movement may need to be removed from the clock case.
I can tell you how to do it but it probably should be done by a professional.
