Question
QUESTION: I have an schatz 8 day mini mariner ship clock, it needs a glass lens and the ring and screws to hold it in, have tried a lens of a full size schatz clock but was to big, would you know were l could buy these parts
Thanks
Joe

ANSWER: Joe, Schatz has been out of business for many years and nobody makes these parts anymore. The glass could be cut at a glass shop but the bezel is a much harder item to get. The only way to obtain parts for these clocks is to take them from old clocks. You might be able to find it on ebay if you search every day for a few weeks. Sometimes the clock movements become un-repairable and people sell the clocks or pieces of them for parts.

QUESTION: thanks for the fast reply, have one more question. have a full size schatz clock it does not run or chine have a couple of other for parts what part might be bad on the first one
Thanks

Answer
I really can't say what is wrong with the clock without examining it. I can tell you that they do wear out and need rebuilding at least more than the average clock movement. The bottom line is that a qualified clock repair person will need to inspect the movement to determine what is needed to get it going again.
Thanks,
Michael
