Question
Hi, I have my husbands grandfathers watch he would like to sell it as we have fallen on hard times...

It is 108079 as the serial number refects on the movement
It is in excellent working condition. Gold and the case is original........it is beautiful and the carving is amazing from what we can tell it is 1878?  can you advise me were to go someone said mail it to us and we will give you a price and send the money after the fact did not trust that .....

Sorry to hear of your predicament.  

The greatest criteria in valuing a watch is the condition of the watch.
No one will be willing to buy the watch without a physical inspection unless you can provide detailed pictures.

You can consider taking the watch to a local jeweler or watchmaker and asking them if they buy watches or if they know someone who does.

Antique dealers are another good avenue if you have one locally.

If you can email me some photos, I might make you an offer on the watch.
