Question
My clock has the follow makes on it The E. Ingraham & Co, Bristol: Conn then on the workings of the clock oct 8 78 Nov 1178 could you please tell me how old it is and where did it come from originally.

Answer
came from the Ingraham factory in Bristol Ct. USA

made in the last quarter of 1878 it seems, although if you have a paper label with that EXACT name on the dial --then the dial and case were made between 1880-1884
they were "E. Ingraham & Co." 1861-1880--then they changed their name by putting "The" before it for 4 years till they dropped the "&" between 1884-1958.
