Question
recently received great great aunts ansonia crystal clock with key however it is chiming once on the hour and chiming the hour 1 hour off on the half hour can i correct

Answer
Move the minute hand to a position causing the clock to strike.  Stop the clock.  As an example lets say the clock struck 3 but the hand say it should be 12;30.  Here is how you would synchronize the time display with the strike.  First remove the minute hand.  You would do this by removing the hand nut or the retaining taper pin and washer.  You would then move the hour hand to a position pointing to 3.  Then replace the minute hand so that it points to 12.  Secure the hand in place by its nut or taper pin/washer.  By these actions you will have synchronized the time and strike.  Start the clock and set to current correct time, always allow the clock to complete its striking sequence before proceeding to the next strike.  Regards WJP
