Question
I have a pocket watch and would like to know more about it. It's a rockford watch company, 15 jewels. the serial number is 864223.the ring around the movement is it called? is 78166.  The case says Windsor 20 years guaranteed B.W.C.C.O.  That number is 8378166.  There is an A engraved on the outside, and on the other side there is some kind of family shield looking thing.  I don't know if it's real gold or not. I think what I looked up said it was from 1910 or something? Anything you could tell me would be great.

Answer
Ms. Jenny,

Rockford Watch Co. was from Rockford, Illinois and was in business from
1873-1915.

Yes this watch is from 1910.

It is gold filled.  The case was guaranteed not to wear through to the base metal for 20 years.

Kind regards,

Melvin
