Question
How to remove the dial that includes a moon dial. It looks pretty complicated. I have worked on many antique grandfather clocks that have removeable bonnets, but never a modern triple chime with a moon dial.

Answer
Usually modern clock dials come off in one piece. In other words, the mood dial is attached to the mainframe of the dial and will come off with the dial. Of course you have to take all of the hands off. The dial should be attached to the movement via 4 posts. These posts are either held on by tapered pins or by clamps that rotate onto the post. Either pull the pins out or pull the clamp away from the post to unlock it. Be careful when you pull the last one because the dial may become loose an fall off.
If none of the applies to your dial please give me a detailed description or a photo.
