Question

I have had this clock for many years it was passed to me from my father and I know nothing of its maker or history. Could you please tell me what type of clock it is, and an estimate as to its age? I can only find an identifying mark of two crossed arrows stamped on back in red with word original under the arrows.

The crossed arrows you mentioned is usually associated with the Junghans family. They were renowned German clock makers, producing clock for well over a century. The picture you attached certainly looks like one of their products. Without further information, such as all the information stamped or printed upon the movements brass backplate, this is the best I can do. Regards WJP
