Question
I have a Hampden Brass Mantle or Desk clock. I need a new Hampton AA battery clock mechanism! Do you know where i can purchase this mechanism? The mechanism is held in by 2 screws that are covered up by the clocks dial!

Answer
I don't know where you will get a Hampden movement. I have never seen anything with this manufacturer's name on it.
You can usually use a mini quartz movement from another company as a replacement. There are a few considerations you have to take care of: how long is the shaft the hands go on?
Is the minute hand held on with a small nut or is it a "press on" type?
Also, you would use two sided tape or hot glue to hold the movement in because the screw holes will not be present in the replacement movement.
Here is a link to my page on mini quartz movements:

I might be able to give you more information if you can attach a photo of your clock movement.
