Question
Hi Melvin,
I am really hoping you can help me with this one. I have searched far and wide!

Here are a couple pictures of the watch via Flickr. (If you have time to look at them)

All I really know about it is what you see in the pictures.

Bedforde W Co.
Octagon shaped
12s
15j
2 ADJ  (not sure what that means)

Answer
Ian,

The Bedforde Railroad watch was a name used by Goldsmith & Co. of Toronto. The watch was approved for service on the Canadian National Railway, but NOT on the Canadian Pacific.

Some of these movements were also labeled "Elco".

Kind regards,

Melvin
