Question

Mickey Mouse Pocket wa
Thank you for your speedy response Melvin Mills, Mickey Pocket watch is a windup from the 80"s I see the mechanism moveing from the back of the watch when I pull the stem. I can see the gears turn from the top of the dial but I don:t see any indent to release the stem, also the front of the pocket watch has no groove for the crystal, here are a couple of photos.   Thanks for your help.    Mike De Vito

Answer
Mike,

Many pocket watches that are mechanical DON'T have a detent.

Here is what you do:  Lift the watch movement out from the opposite side of the watch from the stem, then slide the movement off the stem.

Be gentle and go slow.

Kind regards,

Melvin
