QuestionQUESTION: The minute hand (which I have and is inside the clock) has fallen off and there
is a round hole where it is supposed to be. These is a sticky tape still on one
side and looks like there was one on the other side of the minute hand
opening on the back side. What holds it in place? Do I need some unit to
hold the minute hand in place to make work and, if so, where can I get it?
Thank you for any help you can give me. Joan
ANSWER: I would like to know if your movement is battery powered or a wind up.
If your minute hand has a round hole it just presses on. If the hole in the minute hand is flat on two sides it is held on with a small nut.
I don't know what the sticky tape is for and it should not have any function intended by the factory.

QUESTION: Michael, it is a battery powered clock- one AA battery. I found the same
clock on e-bay and was able to see the back. The clock's hour and minute
hands have a unit for themselves and the second hand, below the other hands
about 1 1/2 inches under, has another unit and battery for itself. That
answers what the sticky strip(s) are for and how the second hand works. So it
seems I need a quartz unit to operate the second hand. I hope this info helps
you help me. Thanks, Joan
ANSWER: I thought you were asking me how to put the minute hand back on. It sounds like now you need a movement to run the sweep second hand. Please confirm that this is correct.
I searched ebay but did not find anything under "howard miller 613-239".
Can you give me the ebay item number so I can look at the photo?
Thanks,
Michael

QUESTION: Hi, the item number is 220661709337 under howard miller clocks-bid ending
9/5. The unit I need is the one on the bottom. I wonder if there a customer
service number to call for howard miller clocks to get the part. Hope this helps.

AnswerGreat, that's a cool clock. From the back it looks like a typical mini quartz movement but I can't tell what sort of shaft it has on it. I can see that that movement is a Quartex brand (I recognize the back of the movement). These movements are made in over two dozen configurations.
How thick is the clock face?
How large is the hole in the face that the second hand will go into?
