Question

pic of face language
I just bought this clock, the works and the case don't appear to be matching, but what puzzles me is the writing on the face-It's another language.  the only american -type is on the front left of the movement and it's 1983.5  attached is a pick of the face PLEASE HELP!!!

Answer
japanese or chinese but I have not gotten any of the Japanese clock experts that can ID it yet--If I hear I will let you know

any markings on the works? can you post a photo of the works?

additional info rec'd from a friend:

Ken,
The characters on either side of the mountain indicate "White Mountain"
The characters under the mountain read ten, four, heaven.
The use of Kanji in the logo is unusual for Japan and I wonder if the clock is Chinese.
I have not been able to do anything with the line of characters below the center arbor.
I really appreciate your posting this dial. And I would love to hear anything more about this clock.
Charlie
