Clocks, Watches/Grandfathers Clock

Question
Hi  I have a Howard Miller Grandfathers clock that was working fine
It was moved to clean behind the clock and now it doesn't work any more. I leveled the unit and when I start it it runs for about five minutes. The clock is about 10 years old and hasn't been really maintained that good.   Thanks for your input Mike

Answer
Mike, Your problem is probably in the pendulum assembly. Clocks can easily get knocked out of beat. The pendulum leader (the piece that the pendulum hangs from) should go through another piece called the crutch. (sometimes the crutch has a pin that goes into a hole on the leader).
This is where the adjustment is made. There are a lot of postings on the Internet telling you how to put the clock back in beat. It is not a difficult thing to do but explaining it can be lengthy. I can help you if needed. I would like a photo of the point where the leader and the crutch meet.
