Question
Hi, I recently inherited a beautiful Hermle Mantle Clock (number 340-020A is on back inside). It keeps perfect time, I have wound it with the key and 3 holes. My question is, the chimes ring but not at the quarters, it rings at like 5 minutes after the hour and then every 15 minutes. How can I adjust it so it rings on the quarters? Thank you for your help.

Answer
so, if I understand, it IS doing the quarters, just 5 minutes late always???

fix here:the minute hand is two pieces - the hand and the center collet with the square hole in it. holding the hand and either with a square end of a file that fits the collet or a pair of pliers on the OD of the collet--rotate the relationship between the two so when put back on the minute hand shaft and the nut replaced, it makes you happy where it is pointing.
