Question
I  purchased a used Miller Floor Clock.  All I can recognize is word "Pearl" on the face.  Where do I find the serial # and value?

Thank  you.

Answer
To find the serial number you will have to look at the clocks brass backplate.  To gain access to this plate you will need to remove the back of the clock case or pull the movement out of the case by removing the dial etc. You will find a good bit of information stamped thereon which you can use to institute a search.  Most Howard Miller clocks used Hermle movements.  Regards WJP

Sorry, I did not bomb on this.  Quite to the contrary, I was right on.  Howard Miller, Pearl and many other companies assemble clocks made up of components derived from various manufacturers. As stated by my response the movement for your clock was probably a Hermle, other probabilities are Urgos, Jauch, Kieninger, or possibly one of the many Korean or Chinese sources.  Again to determine what movement powers your clock you will need to locate the data stamped upon the movements brass backplate.  The serial number, if there is one, will be within that information.  Also you will most likely find the manufacturers name and model number.  With that data in hand you have the basis required to initiate research.  If you are so inclined, copy down and send send me all the information stamped upon the backplate and I will endeavor to interpret the data for you.  Again my regards, WJP.
