Clocks, Watches/Urgus clock

QuestionQUESTION: I wrote to you over a month ago about my dad's urgus wall clock. He had told me the pendulum was lost, however when I gave him the info you provided me he looked puzzled and said, "NO, I have the pendulum, it's the little 'thingy' that hooks the pendulum to the clock that I have lost". Well, like I said, he's 81 years old... So, now my question is: Does the piece that attaches the pendulum to the clock have to be a certain length? In my unknowing search for PENDULUMS I saw some of the things he actually needs. However I don't know if certain criteria applies to make sure we get the correct one. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you
ANSWER:
URGOS---this should be the one:

there is also a 5" leader that hooks to this suspension spring and the pendulum hangs on to it:
let me know if this is what is missing (fell in the bottom of the clock?)bigger problem to replace it

QUESTION: Thank you so much for your quick response. I finally got an "up close" look at the clock in question. Attached to the back of the clockworks is a thin piece of metal that extends down about 1 - 2 inches. On the end are two small prongs that extend outward, away from the clock, for less than an inch and they are less than 1/4" apart. (Much like taking a fork with only 2 prongs and bending them outward) Then there is a 4-5" gap between this piece and where the pendulum goes. From your help and my research I am guessing this is the "leader". The pendulum itself is not encased, it swings freely below the clock, in front of a piece of wood that is shaped like a larger pendulum, so there is no hope of finding the missing piece..I took several pictures of leaders for my father to look at but there's no way he could identify the one he needed. As always, any info would be appreciated. If a picture of the clock works & pendulum would help I will send you one as soon as possible. Thank you again for all your help!!

is the part you desribe: thin piece of metal that extends down about 1 - 2 inches. On the end are two small prongs that extend outward, away from the clock, for less than an inch and they are less than 1/4" apart. (Much like taking a fork with only 2 prongs and bending them outward)
