Question
William I have a clock that was past down to me from my grandfather and the local clock shop has said it would be around 600 to replace this movement. Do you have any suggestions or pricing guidelines to keep these people honest. I read a post of yours from 2007 and you said a new movement was $129. Obviously I would expect the price to be more but not that much..... Any help or advice would be appreciated!!!

Robert

Answer
The last price I had on this movement was $120,(to the trade)available from Butterworth Clocks Inc of Muscatine Iowa.  The owner Mark Butterworth does sell to private individuals.  I suggest you contact him for availabilty and retail price.  Incidentally Mark ditributes more mechanical movements in North America than any other vendor.  Regards WJP
