Question
We have a spring driven Jauch clock works that is running slow.  What adjustments are there to correct this problem? It has a 340-202 printed on it as well as #79.

Answer
I am quite frankly guessing here, I believe your clock is mot likely a Hermle model 340-202 with a
floating balance regulator.  Rather than write a dissertation on the subject I refer you to the following web-cite <http://home.earthlink.net/~atmosman/earthftp.html> this citation will take you to Mike's Clock Clinic.  From the index select; Hermle Floating balance Balance.  You will find your solution in that text.  A word of warning however.  The floating balance is extremely sensitive, I always urge my clients to have this work done by a professional clock smith.  Regards WJP
