Question
I have a neptune Eight Day banjo clock. It it green with flowers on the neck and in the box on the bottom is a house with a wind mill and a boat. Any idea what year it is from and the value. I know that the value is diffrent working and not can you tell me both. I was my greatgrandmas and it doesn't work and was wondering if it would be worth it in value to have it fixed by a restoration place.
AnswerI would have to examine the clock to determine, age and/or possible value. The real value of the Neptune model is as a keepsake, a family momentous affording access to your families past. Placing a value on such is really a very personal thing. It boils down to, "How much do I value my family history. If it were my greatgrandma's clock I wouldn't hesitate one moment to have it restored whenever I could afford to do so. I must say that it is a cute little thing. If you lived in my area and you would not opt to restore, I would make you an offer on it. Regards WJP
