Question
I have a Duck's Unlimited clock that has stopped working and I am having trouble locating a new  the Pat. No. in the rear of the clock is 00399849 . Also if I find one what is the secret of removing the hands??
Many Thanks

Answer
I'm not sure what movement you have in that clock. Is it battery operated?
If it has a sweep second hand it will probably just pull straight off.
The minute hand will either be held on with a small nut or simply be pressed on.
The hour hand should be a press on type that you just pull off.
If you need more help please let me a photo or a detailed description of the movement.
Thanks
Michael
