Clocks, Watches/31 day chime grandmother clock

When I started my clock after being in storage for more than a year everything seems running fine but chimes are 3 off { only rings 7 x at 10 oclock and so on } Can you please explain how to correct this ...  Thank you  Jeff Johnson

Hi Jeff,

-Move the minute hand to the next hour (minute hand on 12).
-Count the amount of strikes.
-Without touching the minute hand, move the hour hand to the number to correspond with the amount of strikes.
-Set the time to the correct time of day.

The striking of the clock tells you where to put the hands.

Hope this helps,
The Clocklady

This is for advice only. ~Most~ repairs need a professional. If I can help you with an adjustment that can set your clock back in order I will try. I can not write a chapter on clock repair. I will point you in the right direction and you will have to do your own research on how clocks work for more intense repairs. -No Watches -No Appraisals. Search ebay for past sales for that information.
