Clocks, Watches/GE Bell Clock

General Electric Ship's Bell Clock Model 6B06, theGloucester
Circa 1939
7-7/8" H, 17-3/4" W and 4-5/8" D
Mahogany finished case
B rotor

This clock works but the sticker makes a "thud" sound instead of a bell sound.

Thank you.

Someone will need to inspect the clock to find out what is causing the thud. I don't know if the hammer is supposed to hit a bell, a gong or a chime rod but that should be the point to look at. It may be that the hammer needs adjusting so it hits the object correctly. The object may be cracked, broken or missing altogether.
If you would like more help from me please provide details about what the hammer is hitting and what condition that object appears to be in.
