Clocks, Watches/Unknown clock

Question
I am working on a clock (floor) movement that has a marking on the rear plate of two arrows(with feathers), about 1/4 inch long.  They are crossed to form an X,
On the gong base there are letters either SAPRO or SARPO.  These are the only markings.  The movement resembles the Hermle.
Can you identify the movement.
Thank You, Ralph

Answer
Hi Ralph,

I found this link that may help you.
http://www.antiqueclockspriceguide.com/identifytrademarks.php.

And this:

If this is the trade mark you can do some more searching about the maker of your clock.

Hope this helps,
Marilyn

This is for advice only. ~Most~ repairs need a professional. If I can help you with an adjustment that can set your clock back in order I will try. I can not write a chapter on clock repair. I will point you in the right direction and you will have to do your own research on how clocks work for more intense repairs. -No Watches -No Appraisals. Search ebay for past sales for that information.
