Clocks, Watches/clock chimes

Question
My King Arthur clock chimes don't sound right. They take a very long time to finish.  The hour chime is fine.
Why do the chimes sound so far apart? It ruins the musical pattern.
Thanks for your help.  Gerard

Answer
If it is a weight driven clock be sure your heaviest weight is on the right side as you face the clock. The clock probably needs lubrication. This should be done every two years.
