Clocks, Watches/Ridgeway Clock

Question
The Ridgeway clock that I have, the middle weight comes way down? Is this ok?

Answer
It is normal for the weights to travel down as the clock is running. The center weight powers your pendulum swing, the right wieght runs your quarter hour chimes and the left weight is for the hour strike. Whenever any of the functions are operating the corresponding weight goes lower.
I don't know what movement is in your clock but whatever the design, when working properly, the weight will stop at some point; either by reaching the end of the cable, chain or the bottom of the clock case.
