Question
Hi. I have a Ridgeway 167 Grandfather clock. I need weights and am having trouble finding out how much wt. per shell. The movement is an Urgos, #UW32/1, the new # 32319. I am used to Cuckoo clocks where the weights are simple. If you know how to find out these weights needed fill, that would be great.Ozzy.

Answer
Hi Ozzy,

Here is the weight requirements for the Urgos 332319 movement.

Strike train= 4.5 lbs

Time train = 4.5 lbs

Chime train= 6.6 lbs

Strike train is on the Left looking at the clock.
Time is in the middle looking at the clock.
Chime is on the right looking at the clock.

Hope this helps.

Expertise

This is for advice only. ~Most~ repairs need a professional. If I can help you with an adjustment that can set your clock back in order I will try. I can not write a chapter on clock repair. I will point you in the right direction and you will have to do your own research on how clocks work for more intense repairs. -No Watches -No Appraisals. Search ebay for past sales for that information.
