Clocks, Watches/grandfather clock(antique) won't run

I moved my antique gfc, just a bit ,now it won't continue running.I have tried to make sure its level, its off by ,say the width of a piece of paper, folded. I am confused as to why it won't run

Hi Ashley,

Did you take the weights off before you moved it?
Are the weights on correctly?
If there is cable holding the weights, did it get
caught up and is it off the drum and spindle?

Sometimes being unlevel even a bit can make it stop.

It's hard for me to answer this question without my
seeing the clock.

If you haven't had the clock oiled in a while it may
be time to call in a professional for service. They will
set the clock up for you too while on the house call.

Hope this helps,

This is for advice only. ~Most~ repairs need a professional. If I can help you with an adjustment that can set your clock back in order I will try. I can not write a chapter on clock repair. I will point you in the right direction and you will have to do your own research on how clocks work for more intense repairs. -No Watches -No Appraisals. Search ebay for past sales for that information.
