Clocks, Watches/Franz Hermle 130-020 watch
Hello, I have a Franz Hermle 130-020 watch, made in Germany, functioning and I would like to know if it was made in1920 and his value?I attach picture
Thanks for the photo. It helps me with identifying your movement.
Although Franz Hermle clock company has been around since 1922
the name doesn't indicate that all clocks are from that time.
This is a more modern clock movement. The I above the Franz Hermle
name indicates that this clock movement was manufactured in 1996.
The older versions have numbers such as 76 or 80 and other numbers
showing the year it was manufactured. For example 76 means it was
manufactured in 1976. In 1988 they went from numbers to letters.
A being 1988, B 1989, C 1990, etc.
Your clock movement does not have a pendulum, it has a
floating balance. This was designed in more modern clocks.
Here is an article on the Franz Hermle Clock Company.
I don't see a photo of the case but this movement is from 1996.
For an estimated value of the clock you can do a search on
ebay under "sold listings." You can see what these clocks
have sold for.
Hope this helps,
