Question
Can you tell me how to adjust a Hermle 2214 so that it chimes exactly on the quarter hour? Mine is 7 minutes early.

Answer
Hi Bob,
I'm assuming that you mean the clock chimes 7 minutes early on every quarter, including on the hour.
Turn the hand setting button on the back of the movement until a couple minutes before the clock chimes the hour. Then let it run until it chimes. Now press on the setting button to hold it firmly from moving backwards. Then press gently on the center nut of the hand shaft and turn the minute hand to point to the hour. Now repeat the process. It will probably take a few adjustments before you get the chime exactly on the hour and correct quarters.
