Question
I have a Howard Miller Model 610-892 the middle chain with weight fell throught the bottom of the clock. I tried to feed the chain back in but the wheel will not turn. Don't know why the chain fell off.

Answer
chain fell off because:
1 most often folks think they should lift the weight while pulling the chain and they lift before pulling and un-hook the weight from the chain and drop the weight thru the bottom of the clock----use one hand ONLY.
2 weight came apart with the threaded top hook loosening till it unscrews enought to come apart.

The wheel turns only one direction- with pliers remove the tab on the TAIL end of the chain -feed or thread the tail end around the wheel in the direction it does move (using wire or long screwdriver- then re- attach when you get the chain back on- not an easy job for a pro - many will remove the entire mechaism in order to feed the chain in when the movement is upside down.
