Clocks, Watches/Information on who will repair

Question
Hello, a year ago when I was in the Philippines, I purchased a Rolex, a fake I am sure.  I like the watch very much, but it has recently stopped working and I am trying to find someone to fix/repair it, and I checked with one jeweler in my town, and he will not touch it.  I am in Massachusetts, but would ship it to a honest jeweler who would repair it for me.

Can you help me  with some contacts?

Thank you,

Ken. Gulick

Answer
Ken,

I don't know any watchmaker who would work on it.  It is illegal to deal with counterfeits and it will be hard to find someone who is willing to risk their livelihood to make a few bucks.  The risk is too great for them.  I am sorry that I don't have any constructive advice to offer.

Kind regards,

Melvin
