Question
We have the opportunity to purchase a tall clock signed by John Bailey Jr. that has been in the Winslow family for about 100 years.  The face is sign John Bailey Jr.,  we know it was made in the late 1700's or early 1800's, in Massachusetts but have no idea what it's value is.  We would like to purchase it for it family history but do not want to pay too much just because of the family history.  Do you have any idea of the value?

Answer
I am sorry I do not do on-line appraisals.  I suggest you contact a local antiques auctioneer for a realistic estimate.  You might also visit Ebay to see what the clock, or similar ones, are selling for.  One other thing I will venture, If the clock be in good overall condition, you were fortunate to find it in the first place.  Regards WJP
