Question
The clock is chain run with heavy weights...Roman numberals on face.  Approx 12" x 12" with a rope look spiral on each side and three "mosque" look spires on top...one 3" tall one in middle and two 1-1 1/2" on each side of top.  Face under Roman numberals is brass.  There is an oval under the tallest spire that says Tempus Fugit.  The pendulum is missing;  therefore we always have a good laugh over "Tempus Fugit"!!  Time definitely DOES fly without the weight of a pendulum!!!!!  Could you tell me where to find a pendulum and what size and weight I would need for this clock.  Everything else seems to work very well.  Thank you

Answer
need the stamped info on the back of the rear brass plate of the mechanism to be exact help here- any pendulum will do--gotta be the right length to keep time and have a hook on the end of it to mate with the part hanging under the movement. make a dummy pendulum with a piece of wire you can bend easily in your hand and make a suitable hook to hook on the clock and some suitable weight for the bottom
(like a large nut or metal disk and hold it on the bottom of the wire with a clothespin- and move it up and down until after running the clock you find the approximate length you need to keep time. then start looking here:
