Clocks, Watches/Repair or Not?

Question
I have a vintage Telechron Art Deco mantle clock which I purchased in working order in an Antique Shop in 1975.  It no longer runs but I would like to sell it on Ebay.  An identical one, but working, just sold for $350.00.  How important is it to have mine repaired or do most clock collectors expect to repair them anyway?  Thanks.  Lynda

Answer
Repairs are expensive.  In my experience most people shy away from buying a non-working clock.  I suggest you get a bid to see how much it would cost to restore the clock to running condition, then make your own determination as to whether or not that cost would be recoverable.  Frankly I doubt it.  I'm sorry I can't really help you.  Regards WJP
