Clocks, Watches/Resetting a pendulum clock for time change

Question
Hi--I'm sure this is a simple fix, but everytime we have to reset our old pendulum clock for a time change, it is off by an hour.  We have tried many techniques, but to no avail.  What's your best advice?  Thanks

Answer
To set the clock back an hour, simply stop the clock for an hou.  To set it ahead, move the minute hand ahead by 1 hour.  In moving the minute habd ahead be sure to allow the clock to complete what ever striking it triggers be fore proceeding.  For example you have a cloc that chimes on each quarter hour.  You must let those quarter hour musical interludes complete before moving the hand to the nest quarter.  That should do it for you.  Any problems, get back to me.  Regards WJP
